Antalya Nickelodeon Hotel is a holiday resort spread over a large site, housing an aquapark and entertainment areas. On this project Devpan manufactured the main distribution boards, the block boards and the aquapark pump groups and outdoor field panels.

About the Project
In holiday resorts the electrical infrastructure behaves less like that of a hotel and more like that of a small campus. Guest room blocks, restaurants, the aquapark, entertainment stages, sports areas and technical facilities are spread over a large site. That dispersion calls for a structure sectionalised across the site rather than distribution from a single centre.
At Antalya Nickelodeon Hotel the aquapark is the most demanding section in electrical terms: the circulation pumps run continuously, touch safety is critical in wet areas and the chlorine dosing systems create a corrosive environment. This area is collected on a dedicated supply branch; the degree of protection of the panels is raised and every outgoing way is equipped with residual current protection. The entertainment stage, in turn, forms a branch of its own with its dimmer and sound system loads.
Devpan Scope and Switchboard Architecture
The Devpan scope reaches from main distribution to the block boards, the aquapark plant room and the outdoor site lighting.
- Main distribution boards (DevPanel): 3,200 A class, 65 kA / 1 s, main distribution with bus coupler arrangement.
- Guest room block boards (DevBox): Separately protected supply and metering for each block.
- Aquapark and pool plant room panels: Raised degree of protection, with pump and dosing outgoing ways under residual current protection.
- Entertainment and stage panels (DevPower): Dimmer supply, sound system and stage lighting circuits.
- Motor control (DevControl) and power factor correction (DevComp): Circulation pumps, chiller groups and detuned compensation.

Project-Specific Engineering Topics
Touch safety in wet areas
Every outgoing way around the aquapark and the pools is equipped with 30 mA residual current protection; the equipotential bonding is also measured and reported.
Corrosion in a chlorine dosing environment
In the dosing and treatment rooms the enclosure surface treatment is raised, and the gaskets and cable entry components are selected to withstand chemical vapour.
Continuity of the circulation pumps
Pool water quality depends on uninterrupted circulation; the pump groups are arranged with redundancy and the standby unit is brought on automatically.
Sectionalising distribution across a large site
Loads spread over the resort are fed from intermediate distribution points; each section is metered separately and protected separately.
Frequently Asked Questions
How is electrical safety provided in aquapark facilities?
Through a three-layer approach: every outgoing way in the wet area is equipped with 30 mA residual current protection, the equipotential bonding is installed so that it covers the metal structural elements and the pipework systems, and the degree of protection of the panels is raised to suit the ambient conditions. Unless all three are applied together, touch safety cannot be achieved.
What is the installed power at Antalya Nickelodeon Hotel?
A holiday resort of this scale has an installed power of approximately 6,400 kVA, with a typical transformer configuration of 4 x 1,600 kVA. The main busbar is rated at 2 x 3,200 A with a short-time withstand current of 65 kA / 1 s.
Why are pool circulation pumps arranged with redundancy?
Because water quality depends directly on the continuity of circulation. If circulation stops for a few hours the water turns cloudy and the chemical balance is lost, which can mean closing the facility. Automatic pick-up of the standby pump removes that risk.
