Sinpaş Gökorman is a low-density villa and housing development spread over a large site. Devpan supplied the multi-point distribution architecture suited to a dispersed layout, the outdoor field panels and the landscape lighting panels.

About the Project
In villa developments the total installed power is lower than in an apartment scheme with the same number of dwellings, yet distribution is considerably harder. Each villa has its own supply and its own meter, the supply points are far apart, and cable routes must be planned together with the landscape design.
At Gökorman a central main board is therefore combined with intermediate distribution points spread across the site. Each intermediate point feeds a group of villas and carries its own protection stage. For panels located outdoors, the degree of protection, enclosure surface treatment and condensation control are handled differently from standard indoor boards.
Devpan Scope and Switchboard Architecture
The Devpan scope reaches from central main distribution to the villa-group intermediate panels and the landscape lighting circuits. Enclosure protection and surface treatment form a design topic of their own for outdoor locations.
- Main distribution boards (DevPanel): 2,500 A class, 65 kA / 1 s, central distribution with bus coupler arrangement.
- Field intermediate panels (DevBox): Separately metered intermediate stage feeding groups of villas.
- Landscape and perimeter lighting panels (DevPower): Road, garden and security lighting plus irrigation supply circuits.
- Power factor correction (DevComp): Small-step stepped system that avoids over-compensation under light and variable load.
- Amenity supply: Separately protected circuits for the clubhouse, pool plant room and security posts.

Project-Specific Engineering Topics
Earthing coordination across a dispersed site
On a large site the earth resistance is measured at every supply point. Protective conductor continuity and equipotential bonding are planned to form a coherent whole between the field panels.
Compensation behaviour at light load
Night-time load drops sharply in villa developments. Capacitor stages are selected in small steps so that light-load over-compensation and unnecessary switching are avoided.
Outdoor enclosures and condensation
The day-night temperature swing causes condensation in outdoor panels. Anti-condensation heaters, ventilation filters and gasket selection are specified accordingly.
Independent metering and protection per villa
Every dwelling is fed through its own meter and residual current protection, so a fault in one villa affects neither its neighbours nor the common area branch.
Frequently Asked Questions
How does switchboard design in villa developments differ from apartment schemes?
The decisive difference is distance. In an apartment building distribution runs vertically over short distances; in a villa development it runs horizontally over long ones. That calls for intermediate distribution points across the site rather than a single central board, and for a raised degree of protection on outdoor panels.
Which degree of protection is required for outdoor panels?
Distribution and lighting panels located outdoors are typically specified at IP54 or above. Beyond the degree of protection, enclosure surface treatment, gasket life and cable entry sealing are equally decisive, and anti-condensation heaters are used inside the enclosure.
Which Devpan products were used on this project?
The project combines DevPanel main distribution boards, DevBox field intermediate panels, DevComp compensation panels and DevPower landscape and perimeter lighting panels.
